Description:
Flamingo in Camargue
When one thinks of these elegant birds with pink plumage that have now become a fashion symbol in the collective imagination the mind flies far away to lands overseas, but in Europe there are several places to observe them. One such place is in Camargue, in southern France, where you can also visit at the same time the beautiful Provence during the lavender blooms. By the way of a walking trail (mostly accessible even with a stroller and wheelchair) you can observe at the edge of the pond or inside a hut many beautiful specimens of birds that inhabit the area and nest in large numbers. The most striking place is the reserve’s small bar, where you can sip a cool drink while watching dozens of flamingos just a few meters away. It is a truly unmissable place for birdwatchers, but also for all those who want to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature in Europe.
